Hear Here about Arboreta: 2/9 Garden Program

At 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 9, as part of the Friends of The Arboretum’s Founders’ Lecture Series, Joe Boggs and Jim Chatfield from Ohio State University present a lecture on the topic Aboretum Observations: A Wry and  Insightful Look at Public Gardens.   

Joe Boggs is an  Assistant Professor with the  Ohio State University Extension and Department of Entomology, and since 1991, Commercial Horticulture Educator, Hamilton County, Ohio.  Joe is in demand as a speaker and conducts a weekly radio show that is syndicated to 30 radio stations in 12 states and satellite radio as well as frequent teaching opportunities on topics related to plant diagnostics, entomology, and landscape management.  Jim Chatfield has 24 years of experience as extension specialist in horticulture and plant pathology at the Ohio State University Extension Center at  Wooster.  Known for his knowledge of landscape plants and for his wit, Jim has been in demand as a speaker at landscape industry conferences through the  country.  He is a frequent contributor to American Nurseryman, Arborists News, Malus, Fine Gardening and Landscape Management.

ADMISSION:  General Public $5; Friends of the Arboretum & Students with I.D. – Free.  Pay at the door – Pre-registration not required
